St Ann’s Hospice is has chosen Play It Green as the official sustainability partner for The Great Mancunian Ball. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity to make charitable events even more eco-friendly and impactful. 

The Great Mancunian Ball will brings together the Manchester community to celebrate and raise vital funds for St Ann’s Hospice. 

The event will open with Gary Neville’s YouTube sensation, ‘The Overlap,’ live on stage. He will be joined by football legends Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright, Jill Scott, and Roy Keane. Together, they will delve into today’s hottest sporting issues and field questions from the audience. Expect insightful opinions, glorious banter, hysterical tales, and more than the odd heated exchange as these old adversaries go head-to-head. 

Funds raised from this event, which is being designed and organised by Manchester event company Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC), will support St Ann’s Build it Together campaign to build a new hospice in Heald Green. This will ensure we can continue to provide essential care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Play It Green’s planned initiatives for the event are:  

Sustainable Suppliers: Play It Green will guide event organisers and attendees to sustainable suppliers, ensuring partnerships with eco-friendly and responsibly sourced products. 

Sustainable Travel Guide: To help reduce the carbon footprint associated with travel, Play It Green will provide a comprehensive guide with practical tips on eco-friendly travel options, including public transportation and carpooling. 

Tree Planting Initiative: For each person attending the event, Play It Green will plant a mix of two trees, mangroves, and sea kelp. This initiative helps to rebalance the carbon footprint of the event and contributes to ecological restoration, job creation and biodiversity.
