Transparency of Donations
The total cost of the project is c£24M as of January 2024
The public appeal for £2M is made up of donations from individuals and organisations not including major solicited gifts or those registered as charitable trusts and foundations.
Concurrently requests for funding from major solicited gifts, special events and charitable trusts and foundations are being made.
Donations received through the build it together microsite will automatically be restricted to the new hospice building in Heald Green, built by St Ann’s Hospice, the building will be known as Moya Cole Hospice from October 1st 2025 in line with the charity’s rebrand.
Donations received via post, over the phone, or by other digital methods will be restricted to the new hospice building on request, or where they form part of an event or appeal which is restricted to the build – ie Tour De Manc partnership.
The charity is contributing unrestricted funds from reserves, the sale of the current site.
Should the total value of restricted funds reach greater that £6M, the additional restricted income will be spent against the build, and less drawn from unrestricted reserves allow greater stability for the charity in coming years.
