Clinical Educator Suzie Doe has worked at St Ann’s for the past 18 years, providing invaluable support for our patients and their families.
Suzie’s family wanted to play their part in supporting our Build It Together appeal for a new purpose-built hospice in Heald Green, so that Suzie can continue her role in an incredible new state-of-the-art building, that will allow us to continue providing quality care for generations to come.
To support the appeal, Suzie’s family members Olly, Mike and Hannah took on the ultimate feat of endurance, which included a 50km run across marshland, woodland, sand and shingle on the East Coast of Suffolk.
This was a real opportunity to truly test themselves. The team did absolutely amazing and completed the ultra-marathon in an incredible 6 hours and 30 minutes.
They said: “It was a hard and tough challenge mentally and physically but knowing we’ve raised money for the hospice kept us motivated.”
